QuickBooks is an accounting software package which was first introduced in 1980 by Intuit. QuickBooks solutions mainly targets small and medium businesses. QuickBooks offers on-premises accounting solution as well as cloud based SaaS versions. QuickBooks have lots of features which basically covers the need of any modern organization.
There are many versions of QuickBooks for different markets which supports the unique tax calculations of the target region.
QuickBooks Desktop version was made available on a rental basis for UK users and was scheduled to be withdrawn from the market with no further desktop replacement or development
QuickBooks is a very mature accounting package with Intuit extending its functionalities with web-based features.

Remote access functions, remote payroll assistance and outsourcing, electronic payment, online banking, account reconciliation, integration of Google maps, excel import, improved email functionalities and more.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a SaaS version of the software written from ground up by Intuit. According Intuit, this version of QuickBooks functions differently than Desktop version and has been developed with many features one of which allow users to create small business applications. The sweet thing about this is that you don't need to install anything at all, all you need is a web browser.
QuickBooks Point Of Sale is a variety of QuickBooks which helps a retailer with inventory management, sales and customer management, cash register. It provides insightful reports for the business owner.
QuickBooks has really survived the test of time. If you need an accounting solution that works, QuickBooks my be your best bet. But we can say for sure, just stay tuned as I review more software solutions.
